STORYTIME U.S. WORKSHOP
Is there a way to free yourself from the tyranny of endless choice that afflicts all documentary directors?
Is there a way to increase the emotional drama of your films and also shoot much less material?
And is there a way to make your proposal stand out from the thousands of others that flood the desks of funders? Yes there is.
Join two-time Emmy award-winning director Geoffrey Smith for a one-day zoom or in-person workshop and explore the liberating world of story archetypes.
You will learn how to use the wisdom of past storytellers from all cultures and backgrounds, discover what archetypes are, and why they work so well.
Taking a deep dive into your project you will discover which archetype gets to the beating heart of your characters, ideas, and vision. This roadmap for your film will not only save you a lot of time and money, but it will connect with the widest possible audience as it is built on the universal language of emotion. You are happy, your audience is happy, and your funders are happy!
